Unfolding
Our Future !

 UNFOLDING OUR FUTURE :

Dear Global Citizens:

"As we stumble into the twenty-first century, the devastating state of affairs in India regarding natural resource management, demands that it be attended immediately and with the highest priority. On the basis of its acknowledged strength and expertise in the field of natural resource managment, Sadguru has a responsibility to meet those challenges. We have a committment towards this end.

The restoration of natural resources in the area has led to, agriculture, forest and horticulture development. Now the evolution of agro processing and agro based activities will be the concern of Sadguru in the first decade of 21st century. All our efforts will be directed to meet this demand of the second generation of our village partners.

Sadguru will continue to strengthen existing village institutions and play an instrumental role in the creation of new village institutions. We are dedicated to seeing them progress and become federated into strong social organisations.

Diversification in the off farm income generating activities including dairy development, handicrafts and any other suitable activity will be encouraged

The Training Institute will be a focal point for enhancing the existing programmes, dealing with the requirements of the future expansions and also providing inputs to the NGOs and GOs in the field of natural resource management.

Advocacy in influencing government policy changes and spreading the successful natural resource management programmes in other regions will be taken up more intensively.

With our rich experience and knowledge in the field of natural resource management, the funders, government, NGOs, and international agencies will find in us dependable partners worth supporting."

And in conclusion, I would like to end with a quote from a poem written by Robert Frost :

"...... The woods are lovely, deep and dark, I have promises to keep and miles to go And miles to go before I sleep......."
There is still much to do.
<<Back to Silent Revolution
Sincerely Yours,
Mr. Harnath Jagawat
